The Department has linked with Pobal to prepare information and resources on 'Reopening' for the Community and Voluntary Sector. They have prepared a detailed WEBPAGE providing an overview of the available guidance and resources on how to re-open safely, based on the current recommendations of the Government, the Health & Safety Authority (HSA), the Health Service Executive (HSE) and other representative bodies.

Phase 2 COVID-19 Stability Fund
Phase 2 of the COVID 19 Stability Fund is now open for applications. The application period is open until 10th August 2020.
The COVID 19 Stability Fund is open to community and voluntary organisations, social enterprises and charitable organisations which are:
RTE does Comic Relief Fund
The 6 million fund raised through RTÉ does Comic Relief is now open for applicaitons. The Fund will focus on the recovery and rebuilding of Ireland. The fund will focus on supporting non-profit organisations that provide key services and supports to vulnerable individuals who have been affected by Covid-19 across the whole of the Republic of Ireland.
Funding is being made available under two strands:
The fund is open for applicaitons until 4.30pm on the 30th September 2020.

The Community Enhancement Programme
which provides small grants to enhance facilities in urban and rural communities, may be of interest to your group. As further information becomes available we will circulate it to members. Groups should keep in contact with the Local Community Development Committee or the Community Section in Wicklow County Council for further details.
Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
This funding scheme supports economic and social development projects in towns and villages with a population of less than 10,000. In 2020 the Scheme also included An Accelerated Measure to help address the short term challenges of social and economic recovery following the COVID-19 emergency. While the Scheme is open the closing date for Expressions of Interest has passed and it is fully booked. Contact Wicklow County Coucil if you want to discuss longer term plans for your town/village

The Institute of Technology Sligo supported by Sligo PPN is undertaking a research project to evaluate the societal and economic impact of community and voluntary groups during the Covid-19 crisis. The first phase of the project aims to gain an insight into the experiences of volunteers during the Covid-19 crisis. National Action Plan
On 16th March the the Cabinet Committee on COVID-19 approved a National Action Plan. The plan was prepared following involvements from all departments and key agencies.
COVID-19 Government Action Plan to Support the Community Response
On the 20th March the Government launched an Action Plan, which sets out three key areas of initial focus in supporting a community response:
* Encourage and facilitate volunteering
*Provide community supports for older people
*Establish a help-desk for local community groups.

Covid - 19 Communication Pack for Communities
The Communication Pack for communities provides information, advice and resources for all community stakeholders including volunteers, volunteer involving groups & organisations, local authorities and vulnerable people. Find out more here: Communication Pack
Health Communications Stakeholder Support
As part of the national response to Covid-19, the Department of Health, the Department of Rural and Community Development and the HSE are working closely to support stakeholders and community groups. These government departments have developed Partner Packs which provide: Audio & Visual Resources, Posters (including different languages), Leaflets, Guides, Social Media material and Guidance & Resources for Groups working with People with Disabilities. The HSE has prepared Translated resources to help share the messaging about coronavirus (COVID-19) in various languages. These posters and booklets are available for download and printing.
